Who we are
Founded in 1984, Toronto Crime Stoppers is a partnership between the police, the media and the community that enables concerned members of the public to anonymously provide information on the identity of a criminal or incidents of criminal activity.
We are a non for profit organization and a separate entity from the Police. We are a registered charity and do not receive government funding directly to our program.
Our Mission
To provide a safe and anonymous way for members of the public to submit information about criminal activity to law enforcement agencies and to enhance the safety within the community through our Community Rewards Program.

Our Community Reward Program
The Crime Stoppers mission remains the same; provide concerned citizens the ability to report crime anonymously
- but our new opportunity lies in our reward system...or rather, removing it.
We believe that a program benefiting the greater good is more suited to the type of individuals who come forward rather than individuals who are motivated by monetary benefit. And for that reason, Toronto Crime Stoppers has put an end to individual rewards and replaced them with a program that channels money back into the communities we serve.
As such, Toronto Crime Stoppers will always be looking for opportunities to support Crime Prevention Through Community Engagement initiatives that work to improve community safety and empower a movement of a crime free Toronto.
